Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This policy explains how Auto Experience (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use autoexperience.uk or contact our London garage. We follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Controller: Auto Experience Address: Unit 4, Holly Rd, Hampton Hill, Hampton TW12 1QQ, United Kingdom Email: hello@autoexperience.uk Phone: +44 7446 974049

What we collect

Depending how you contact us, we may process: • Name, phone, email and message details from enquiries • Appointment, vehicle and invoice details if you become a customer • Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed if you accept analytics cookies • Cookie preference stored on your device when you choose Accept or Reject

Lawful bases

We process data where needed to respond to enquiries and provide garage services (contract / steps prior to contract), to run and secure the website (legitimate interests), and for analytics cookies only with your consent (UK PECR). You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings.

Cookies & analytics

Essential cookies keep the site working (for example language preference and staff login sessions on /admin). Google Analytics (measurement ID G-L9HBGZ115S) loads only after you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie policy for details.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us host the site, send analytics (Google, if consented), or process payments/invoicing for workshop work, under appropriate arrangements. We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep data

Enquiry messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period. Customer and invoice records are kept for legal and accounting requirements. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings for our property. Cookie preference stays on your device until you clear it or change settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your data, object to certain processing, and request portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
